Description: The Area Research Center is a branch of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin with a threefold purpose to collect, preserve, and encourage use of historical records relating to UW-Stout and to Barron, Dunn, and Pepin counties in Wisconsin. The collection consists of annual reports; correspondence with local historical societies; correspondence with the State Historical Society and Stout offices ; and materials relating to ARC publicity and public relations, records management, the Stout Oral History Program, projects, workshops, and miscellaneous materials.
